SIMPLE DIVORCE
Leave Strong offers two types of document-only divorces for those who do not need mediation services.
Summary Dissolution
You are eligible for a summary dissolution (divorce) if you have been married for fewer than five (5) years and meet the following criteria:

Neither person intends to contest the divorce.

You do not have children together born before or during the marriage, including by adoption; and the wife, to her knowledge, is not pregnant as of the date the action is filed.

Neither of you owns real estate or has a lease lasting more than 1 year.

You do not have unpaid debts of more than $6,000 (excluding car loans).

Your marital assets do not exceed $45,000 (excluding cars).

Neither person has separate assets worth more than $45,000.
-
Neither person is seeking spousal support.
Summary dissolutions cost a flat fee of $1,000 with a filing, postage, and misc. fee of $500.
Document Only Divorce
A "Document Only Divorce" is a divorce that does not require the assistance of a mediator for any unresolved issues. This option is right for you if you meet the following criteria:

Neither person intends to contest the divorce.

You may have children, but already have a co-parenting plan in place.

You may have a range of assets but agree as to how you want them allocated..

Neither person is seeking spousal support.
Document Only Divorces cost a flat fee of $2,000 with a filing, postage, and misc. fee of $500.
